Judge Jim Hansen has a secret, one he has been hiding for almost 30 years. While he was a student at an overseas campus program in Amboise, France, he was accused of rape and murder. After returning home, it seems as if everyone asks about his past. Meanwhile, his accuser, Corinne Larson, doubts her own actions and seeks professional help. Then it all comes undone for both of them. Now, Judge Hansen is on trial for murder and he must confront the allegations from his past. He asks noted trial lawyer, Mike Zorich, to defend him at a sensational jury trial. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

While, Jim may not be the most likable guy; you do feel for him a bit when he finds himself entrapped by his secret past. Alicia, the blackmailer is not someone that me the reader would be friends with as well.
Then there is Mike and Corinne. First, Corinne. It seems that she could not catch a break where it involved Jim. He had no remorse for his actions, which I do believe that he was guilty of taking advantage of Corinne. As far as lawyers are concerned, Mike Is a personable one. I did not experience a ruthless side to him in this book but the side I saw I liked. Also, I have to briefly talk about the ending. It let me with my wheels spinning. A perfect ending. All you need is just one night to read and finish One Night in Amboise. (
