This is a book that describes a mother Ankylosaurus and the laying of her eggs. It also describes how she eats what kind of skin she has, how she fights of predators, and about her everyday life.
Personal Reaction
I really liked the book. it was a great way to get some true facts across to children without boring them to much. it touches on all the important basics about the Ankylosaurus. I think it would be a great book for an older class to read and write a little report over since it is a factual book.
Classroom Extension
1. This could be used in a unit based around Dinosaurs.
2. you could also do a unit on Non-fiction books like these to get children interested in not only ready fairy tales but reading about things that are true.
