When Jax Mayson rescues Ellie Anthony along with his cousin July from human traffickers he experiences the BOOM. Fans of the series know what the boom is – for those that dont all the men know immediately when they've met the one. Ellie was that one for Jax. Ellie didnt have a good home life and could only depend on her brother but when he and the mother of his daughter are killed in a car accident Ellie becomes the guardian to their infant daughter Hope. Hope is now 3 and she about steals all the scenes in the book. Along with the love story there is also the wrapping up of the human traffickers and also a surprise ending to some thing from Jax's parents book Until Lilly. Jax and Ellie are so adorable, you have the psycho ex and her 'daughter' who is sooo funny.
We pick up from Until July where Ellie had escaped being sold and is in hospital, we discover her non existent family and Jax has had his 'boom' so he wants to look after her and get to know her. We also learn a bit about Jules (Jax's absent birth mum) as he finds he needs to resolve some issues with her from his childhood.
We have updates on July and Wes from their book, the groundwork is laid for June's story, who we learnt in the previous book was married and her ex is working for Jax, Sage who has met Kim but believes her to be a psycho due to a misunderstanding and Ashlyn, who has a new boss who seems to have issues with her. And i have got to say i can't wait.
Well worth a read but i would say to read the other books first so you know who everyone is.
The down side is its only 12 chapters but i love the way Jax is loyal to Ellie from the start, there is no cheating despite many offers. (
