She has a big touch of OCD, which is kind of normal for them. But there are also things about where she comes from which are not explainable right away. Anyway, even without the history of the first book it's a nice read. A very different look at vampires and I read a lot of books with those guys. The twist at the end is exciting and leaves the door open for other books, and there is a third part. Disclaimer: I got this book in the Librarything Early Reviewers.
