Far too angry and focused on destroying for me. I feel like his writing loses some of the tone that hearing him tell these stories in person conveys. Prefer the touring journals to his fiction. ( )

I love you, Henry, that's all I can say. I read this after finding his shows on IFC and wanting more. ( )

Read this if you're into Henry Rollins, otherwise leave it alone. ( )

Man. I really enjoyed reading this. One of the most fascinating aspects of this book is getting to "see" rollins evolve through his twenties and thirties. It's heartbreaking, yet inspiring. I love it for its rawness as well. I think it also demonstrates how your younger years often define your core and what you must battle, resolve, work with the rest of your life. Interesting stuff!
