Michael Gallagher wants to get drunk. His wedding is off and his ex won’t given him his dog. Yes, getting drunk is a very good idea. However, when Michael spots Shay Angel, after eight years, he is truly knocked for a loop. As a Assistant DA, and with Shay’s having been in trouble with the law, she is all wrong for him.

Shay suddenly goes missing, and he wants to help her, plus he wouldn’t mind seeing whether or not their attraction is still there. Shay, however, has an agenda, and despite still being drawn to Michael, truly wishes he would stay away.

Christmas with an Angel is a quick novella that has sweet romance and a bit of mystery. I definitely look forward to seeing more of this couple in the fifth book of the series, Driftwood Cove. Other books in the series are, Mistletoe Cottage, Starlight Bridge, Primrose Lane, Sugarplum Way, Sandpiper Shore and The Corner of Holly and Ivy.

This novella was a bonus story in The Trouble with Christmas, also by Debbie Mason.

Debbie Mason knows how to get the tears flowing. Her stories are treasures for the soul. Christmas With An Angel marks the start of something special. Mike and Shay are opposites in every way. She's a girl with a chip on her shoulder, a crack in her heart and a reputation that precedes her. He's a man of privilege with the world at his feet and questions about a certain bad girl. Christmas With An Angel provides a taste of what looks to be a breathtaking tale. Can't wait to jump right in. ( )

If you haven’t read the start of Ms. Mason’s new series in ‘Mistletoe Cottage’, then I urge you to do so. The reason for it is two-fold. You’ll love the story, but you’ll also meet the hero and heroine of this short story which is actually a set-up for their own happily ever after.

After Michael’s fiancé dumps him because he decides to pursue a whole new career, he feels that drinking just might help him get over this fiasco.

Well, at the town’s bar he bumps into Shay, a woman he’d done wrong and from there …. Well, you’ll need to read this story to find out what comes next!

This second chance at love romance from this wonderful author is just perfect for this time of year. Get it!

A cute and very suspenseful Christmas story. I would recommend reading book one first, while the story stands alone, there was obviously some back story that I had missed going into it that I missed out on.

Michael's long lost love, Shay, is back in town and seems to be in trouble. So, like any good romance hero, he sets off to save the day. But none of it goes as planned. He ends up in trouble himself and there are some really good secrets that come out at the end of the story. Debbie Mason drops just enough hints that I wasn't completely surprised, but it was still a great reveal when it happened.

Almost too short to get a lot of romance in, but the characters already have a history, so the connection was in place. They just needed to reconnect. They don't quite do that (just warning you), but I think it might be something that happens in a future book at some point.

If you wondered where Micheal was during the wedding. This will give you answers and a glimpse into the life of Shay. You see what was behind their parting those years ago and a side to Shay you may not have expected. I found this to be a great way to give more of both Michael and Shay without giving away too much. Next Christmas should be delightful. ( )
