The first Misletoe Christmas tells of a woman doctor whom comes to Cowboy Creek and opens her own practice while reuniting from a guy from her past. This story jumps around some and condenses a few months into a few pages. The main character is likable yet also at points blunt which could be explored more. The second story Mistletoe Bride tells of a pregnant Austrian woman whom arrives in Cowboy Creek to meet a man to marry only to realize that he is dead and her survival as a new mom, wife, and citizen of the town. This story interesting yet presents distance with the main character’s new husband. The reader is told the story yet still there is a lack of actually getting to know the characters as this story also jumps in storyline.
