Mallory is known as 'Ice' in the hospital where she is an organ donor coordinator. Everyone thinks she doesn't have any feelings. She does keep a distance between herself and the other hospital staff but not from the families of the donor clients. She's good at speaking with the families and getting their consent to donate. She is a very loving woman with a promise she made years ago that she had not fulfilled and is tearing her apart. Should she keep it or not?

Lawson is a great surgeon with a good reputation both in the OR and with women. This is where he got the nickname 'Wolf'. His work didn't allow time for him to have a relationship so he briefly dated just about every woman in his path. Lawson trained Mallory a few years earlier now she's as good, if not better, than he is.

Their lives change when they start having feelings for each other. Lawson hates his nickname and is happy to leave it behind, especially to be with Mallory. But Mallory is afraid Lawson will run when he learns of her secret.

I really liked this well written, emotional book. Organ donation is a hard topic to deal with but Nancy Glynn did a remarkable job of weaving a story about it. I always planned to be an organ donor but after reading this story, I absolutely will be. The main characters were not very likable in the beginning but that changes as we get to know them. As professionals in that field they had to be aloof and distant but they knew when to be compassionate with the families. I liked seeing another side to Lawson and Mallory and found it easy to feel their desire and affection for each other.

Please note I won this book on a LibraryThing giveaway allowing me to voluntarily review an Advance Readers Copy. ( )

Awesome story! I enjoyed every minute of this read. It follows two surgical coordinators as they fight their growing attraction to each other. But, that as they begin to give into that attraction, McShane has a secret that she is sure will make Gallagher leave. Between the difficult cases, mother nature and their own issues the story will keep you laughing, crying and rooting for these two wonderful characters.
I was provided a copy of this book for an honest review. ( )

Oh my goodness these two characters were meant to be together. I found this such an emotional book to read. i thought this would be an ok book, but how wrong was I I was taken into the story and the characters. There is mystery around the characters too so the reader is reading on to the end to find out what happens next.

A great book and an author to look out for. ( )

And Never Say Goodbye is a beautifully written novel about second chances. It is the story of Mallory "Ice" McShane and Lawson "Wolf" Gallagher who are both highly skilled surgical coordinators. Years ago Lawson trained Mallory, who has become just as good, if not better than him. Their job is very demanding and requires each of them to give up a lot in their personal lives. Mallory's nickname of "Ice" suits her well, because of her past, she has closed herself off emotionally to any type of relationship. Lawson's nickname of "Wolf" pretty much sums him up. He is a womanizer who dates many women without any emotional attachment.

After a particularly difficult case, Mallory and Lawson lean on each other and become "friends". Mallory, who has reasons for being so emotionally detached, begins to see Lawson in a different light. Lawson, afraid of commitment, begins to develop feelings for Mallory that he has never felt before. Can two damaged souls find love or will a promise made in the past prevent them from exploring a future together?

And Never Say Goodbye is the second book in The Town of Destiny series and although it is a standalone and it's not necessary to read the first book "And Never Let Her Go" I would definitely recommend it. Both books are solidly written heartwarming romantic novels that I enjoyed very much. I fell in love with the real to life characters and was sad when my time with them done. Nancy Glynn is a very talented author who has become one of my favorites, as I am sure she will become one of yours!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. ( )
