I have loved every book in this series but I swear each one is better than the last. This book will have you crying, laughing, sighing and definitely getting hot and bothered.

Sabrina James is a stubborn, driven woman. She knows what she wants and other than sex on occasion a man doesn't factor into her life plans.

John Tucker is the fun loving hockey hottie with a heart of gold. Funny, stunning and humble he is the least mansluty of the group. He is laid back and nothing seems to phase him. At least until he meets Sabrina and she turns his world upside down.

When they meet the sparks fly and they put just the tip to the test... but what happens when Sabrina finally fails a test???

Could her getting pregnant cost her her future at Harvard??? You will have to read to find out.

This book was so good I couldn't put it down. It needs to be on your must read list. ( )

This was great! I have been working my way through the Off-Campus series this year and have fallen in love with the series and couldn’t wait to read Tucker’s story after the way the previous book ended. Most of this book takes place during the same period of time as the previous book, The Score, and I thought it was fun to see what was happening in a different roommate’s life during that time. This was a fantastic read from beginning to end and I had a great time watching Tucker and Sabrina find their happily ever after.

Tucker and Sabrina meet at a local bar and have a ton of chemistry from the start. Sabrina typically stays away from hockey players and considers Tucker’s roommate, Dean, to be her nemesis so Tucker has his work cut out for him in trying to convince her to see him again. Sabrina is focused on getting into Harvard and doing whatever it takes to change the course of her life. She currently lives with her grandmother and her sleazy step-father and those living conditions are less than ideal. When she decides to give Tucker a chance, it is just what both of them need.

I loved these two together. Tucker didn’t push Sabrina at all and was incredibly patient. He worked hard to be what she needed. He handled the surprise pregnancy incredibly well and I love seeing him work to support Sabrina in whatever way she would allow. Sabrina’s plans did not include a baby. She was worried about how everything would impact Tucker’s life and tried not to ask him for anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary. I loved watching her slowly learn to trust and depend on Tucker. It was obvious how much they really did care for each other and I loved getting to see both of them finally admit their feelings.

I would definitely recommend this book to others. I really enjoyed this romance and loved the fact that the story dealt with some difficult topics. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series that has quickly become a favorite of mine.

I received a review copy of this book from Bloom Books. ( )

Sabrina James has worked hard to get accepted into Harvard Law School, while working two jobs and living with her grandmother and unpleasant stepfather. When she meets John Tucker, she sees an opportunity for a quick encounter to take the edge off. What starts out as a one night stand in Tucker's truck, turns in to much more than either of them bargained for. Both Sabrina and Tucker have their lives planned out, but things are about the change for them in ways they can't imagine.

The Goal is the fourth book in the Off-Campus series. This book features several romance tropes including the one night stand and the surprise pregnancy. More of the story deals with the lust the two characters feel for one another and then how they will deal with their situation, but very little of the book involves a romance between the two. In this dual POV story, the characters are fully fleshed out and are very likable, but there is very little conflict between them. Also, the supporting characters aren't given much chance to shine. Overall, The Goal brings the Off-Campus series to a close with a good but not a great story. ( )

Ok, so I was so confused about how I felt about this book. After reading the cliffhanger from the last book I was happy I got an idea of how the book was gonna be like so it helped. Sabrina was a pretty unique and different character from the others to where she was the most closed off. I hated Ray so fucking much I wanted to be the one punching him, but when Tucker threw his fist I was so satisfied. Can we also talk about how much of a bitch Tucker's mom was being towards Sabrina. I wanted to punch her too. But Tucker was such an example of a man. Imagine meeting a Tucker in real life. That would be life-changing. I will admit this book was a little boring. There were too many time jumps every few chapters. I'm happy that Sabrina opened her heart to an actual relationship with Tucker at the end and their little family created a life together. Also, the godfather chapters with the rest of the hockey boys were so fun to read! 4.25 stars!! ( )

Hollis and I might as well have been sitting in the same room for this buddy read. THAT WAS INSANE.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/19427164-the-goal-july1?ref=nav_bar_discuss...

I believe Hollis was correct when she said that was the twinningest buddy read to ever twin. Or something.

So I had this on my ratings I regret or question b/c my friends almost unanimously hated this. Leaving me to questions myself, as one does. After the reread though, I think this is my favorite. Tucker still exhibits EK's hero's patent confidence, but in a subtler, more mature package. IT wouldn't be wrong to call him perfect, because he is. Too perfect? Well, sometimes I forgive that.

Sabrina's prickly and aloof and scared. And I love her. Ambitious and without apology for it, it's her coping mechanism. Her character grows in a realistic, lovely way - I thought - I love coming to understand misunderstood characters. She's highly selective and really busy. I admire and identify with these traits.

i felt this was the best paced book of the 4, maybe with the exception of Hannah and Garrett's. There's no shenanigans to scare other men off. There's a hiccup in the middle because it's a parallel timeline which i'm not sure I loved or needed to relive, but it's there and it wasn't a BIG detractor, but could those 3 chapters have been cut? Maybe.

Overall, it had plenty of comic relief, a stand-up hero who is strong and steady, and nice and dirty in the bedroom, an honest and confident--to a point--heroine, a bunch of crap parents (but didn't get bogged down there) nice friendships, and a lot of good humor. It also had the ability to make my heart flip, my eyes sting, and my heart sink.

I don't know you guys. It's my favorite.4.25, leaving 5 stars to reflect it's my series fave ( )

I'm going with 3 stars for this one.

In short: Well written, loved Tucker, didn't hate Sabrina. A bit too much back and forth and there was a long time where nothing really happens. I liked seeing all the other characters again, although I've forgotten quite a lot from the other books.
I'm not a huge fan of this type of storyline, so it could just be me. I felt bad for Tucker sometimes and felt like hitting sabrine with a smelly old fish at other times. I alsp missed some of the banter that I loved in the other books.
But it's not a bad book and Elle Kennedy knows how to write. If you liked the other books, give this one a try :)

I'm looking forward to the spin off. I think it's going to be about Fitzy? ( )

I really enjoyed The Goal by Elle Kennedy. I was sad going into the book knowing that this was the end of the series, but what a way to go out with a bang. This series has been fun to read, I love the college romance genre and add in a little sports to the mix and I'm a happy girl. I'm fairly new to Elle Kennedy's writing, but I'm now a hooked fan and will be putting all her books on my to read list.
Happy Reading...enjoy! ( )

I'm in love! I want to have John Tucker's babies and I want to be Sabrina when I grow up. What an absolutely kick butt couple. Loved this! ( )

Why does it have to be over? I read in the back that Elle Kennedy is working on a spin off and I need to know more! Like right now! When??????

This was not my favorite of the books, but I still loved it. This book is actually happening parallel to The Score. So, some of the events you get to relive that happened in the 3rd book. This starts off when Tuck and Sabrina meet and how their relationship evolved.

I am a huge fan of this series! It has turned me into a huge Elle Kennedy fan and I need more! ( )

There could not possibly be a better man than Tucker. He’s my best-loved guy from the series for sure, and he jumped near the top of my favorite book boyfriends ever list. Just wow! I need this man in my life for real.
Sabrina takes a little more work to like. She comes off wrong sometimes, but I admired her drive. I also think she endured Tucker’s mom way better than I would have. No wonder Tucker knew just how to handle Sabrina dealing with a mom like that!
The story starts out sexy, fun and mostly shallow, but it soon brings on loads of feels and deepness. I was definitely rooting for Sabrina and Tucker to make it. Both go through quite a journey to reach their goals. I really liked and definitely recommend it.

For those of us who devoured THE SCORE (Off-Campus #3), Tucker’s huge surprise confession at the end of that book revealed one of the major events that would transpire in THE GOAL—an event that would drastically shape Sabrina’s and his HEA. Admittedly, that particular plot line is not my favorite in a New Adult romance. Still, I had to read this book because Elle Kennedy is amazing! And, I suspected that if she wrote about it, I would enjoy it. And I did, for the most part.

The Good:
Sabrina is an appealing, strong, and sympathetic heroine. And Tucker! Whoa! Hotter than Hades—that bearded boy is a singular beauty inside and out! Love, lust, admiration, compassion—I felt it all for that scruffy piece of male perfection. He is a stacked teddy bear who goes all in—heart first—from the start with Sabrina. I just adored him. And their sex scenes! Mercy! This book smolders with pages of five-alarm, must-read, steamy encounters so wicked and wonderfully described that I was combusting!

The Not So Good:
Sabrina’s hyper-tragic, never-ending home situation, her disgusting and loathsome live-in step father, as well as Tucker’s meddling and unreasonably obnoxious mother were simply too prominent, reoccurring, and exasperatingly slow to change for me to dismiss or ignore them. Honestly, the sheer volume of domestic nonsense that bright, brassy and capable Sabrina acquiesces to feels forced and unrealistic. Add Tucker’s reluctant acceptance of Sabrina’s stubborn choices, his sluggishness to step in to force change or stand up to his mother… Well, you get the dismal picture.

Despite my many frustrations, overall, THE GOAL is a fine read. And, while the plot is more somber and the couple’s crisis more dire, disturbing, and vexing than that of previous couples before them, I was entertained and, at times, seriously turned on.

Elle Kennedy’s THE GOAL is an amazing addition to the Off-Campus Series. Sabrina James has her five-year plan laid out, and it does not include hockey players. Then she meets hockey forward John Tucker, who has every intention of being part of her future. THE GOAL takes place during the same time frame as the previous book, THE SCORE. This new adult contemporary sports romance takes place at Briar University and Massachusetts.

I like Sabrina. She is an intelligent and strong individual. Her home life is not the best, and she is set out to do everything in her power to improve her life. Her step father, Ray, is a piece of work. That man is pure slime. I like her two best friends: Carin and Hope. I’m glad she has them. I appreciated that she has Professor Gibson on her side. Sabrina comes off as cold to others, but it is extremely understandable why. She is a good person that has been dealt a difficult hand. She has to work hard for everything in an environment where most people have things handed to them.

Tucker is a great guy. He is honest, calm, confident, patient, and persistent. He is a great roommate because he takes care of everyone. He is a good son. He is the perfect guy for Sabrina; he mostly understands her, although he does make a few mistakes.

Sabrina and Dean Di Laurentis (book 3) are nemesis. Since Dean is one of Tucker’s best friends and roommate, this is a bit of an issue, as a result, they hide their relationship from Tucker’s friends.

The scenes with Beau Maxwell were emotional from the start since I knew what was going to happen from the previous book. It was heartbreaking to read others’ perspectives.

Once again, Elle Kennedy, does a fantastic job with both her character development and plot. The novel is well written. I like that this story continues past graduation. Just like real life there are a lot of ups and downs. The characters grow tremendously and endure a lot. THE GOAL is a believable a heartfelt story that made me experience just about every emotion possible. Off-Campus is an amazing series that I highly recommend.
