The covers on this run were great, but the interior was kinda lame. I like the idea of Bruce Banner going to a secluded culture to try to find peace and also the idea that in the "land of M" AIM would be the resistance against the mutant overlords. BUT overall this just didn't do much for me. Not the worst of the "House of M" tie-ins (although that's setting the bar pretty low), and I like the realness with which the Australian setting is treated (good to see Pyro's past as a romance novelist referenced!), the "Hulk plus Dreamtime" conceit (Australian aboriginal culture sure is a weirdly hot spot in Marvel comics, with the '80s X-men and Gateway and all), and the occasional moments of goofy humour. But mostly this is a grind, a boring caper with AIM as generic thugs who lose all their "geeks with guns" charm, and in 2010 (!) it's increasingly hard to treat the "House of M" crossover anything like as seriously as it treats itself. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
In the House of M, it's the Hulk like you've never seen him before! In the Australian outback, Bruce Banner has found a peace he's never known among a tribe of Aborigines. But when their safety is threatened by a battle between a sect of AIM and the ruling totalitarian mutant government, the Hulk is forced to intervene in a BIG way.
