Pretty decent side-story about the aftermath of the victory at Endor in Star Wars Episode VI. The writing was a little choppy and hard to follow. There were lots of battles and cross-chatter. But it was a fun feed into the history leading up to Episode VII. ( )

This is one of the best franchise associated comics I have ever read. The story of Shara Daemon takes place during and right after the Battle of Endor. The art is great, I like the main character and the stories are good. The typical Star Wars problem of cramming known characters everywhere (s. C3PO in E-I) is present, but makes more sense due to the setting.
Additionally to this story, there are two more chapters, both just the first issues of series. One focuses on Leia right after the Battle of Yavin, one on Luke still on Tatooine. While I enjoyed the Leia story and might read the rest at some point, the Luke (looking more like He-Man) story is from the 1970s and mostly ridiculous. ( )

I really love Poe Dameron and was curious to read about his mother, Shara, who's the main character in Shattered Empire. She inspired him to become a pilot and it's easy to see why--she's a heroic pilot in the Rebellion and continues fighting to rid the galaxy of lingering threats of the Empire even after the events of ROTJ. She's an excellent title character.

I thought the story could have had a bit more plot, but the comic strikes me more as a character study and setting up the landscape and vibe of the galaxy post-ROTJ. The art is BEAUTIFUL. Many times I just stared at pages to soak in everything that was going on. ( )

The title is misleading as while it does take place after RotJ, this story is not a bridge to The Force Awakens. Instead, it mainly follows Poe's parents after the Battle of Endor as the Rebellion learns that the war isn't over yet. It was an okay read, though really doesn't add much to the overall story arc. ( )
