First, the language was very descriptive. The author uses an extensive amount of detail in the book to help the audience envision the time period many never experienced. For example, the author writes, "But it is definitely not bedtime for the majority of the off-duty personnel on Oahu. From Wheeler Field, with its planes parked neatly, wing tip to wing tip, patrolled by sleepy guards against sabotage, all the way past red-earthed sugarcane and pineapple fields to Pearl Harbor, the evening is a gay and noisy one" (p. 92). The author uses an extensive amount of detail to appeal the audiences' five senses, providing them with the opportunity to create an image of Pearl Harbor in their minds. This detail is throughout the book, helping the audience envision and follow along with the story. Another reason that I liked this book is because the writing is organized and flows well. The chapters follow a sequential order of what happened during the event of Pearl Harbor. The chapters are chunked into each major event during this historical time. This organization helps the writing flow from chapter to chapter and provides a clear organization of the timeline of the story. Overall, the big idea of this book is to share the historical events of Pearl Harbor and insights from the men and women involved during this historic time. ( ) this book brings memory of the day of the attack on pearl harbor december 7,1941 thousands of soldiers lost their lives and many civilians were killed. I think the moral of this story is to fight until death one example of that is when all the americans tried their best to shoot down the enemy's planes and bombers all fought and most of them died but they fougth hard and did their best to fight. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
