I liked the setup about the professional hockey player. I liked that the characters had a long history together. I even liked how it ended. I think my only quibble was that I never quite connected with the heroine. I like direct females, but she seemed to have little regard for anyone's feelings. ( ) Off Limits was an adorable novella! I was hesitant after reading Major Misconduct because I HATED the heroine. However, Jenna and Andrew were great! He feels that her father and brothers won't approve of him for Jenna (hence the title, Off Limits), and she is kind of seeing someone else, but they both have feelings for each other. The family dynamic is great as well! If you are looking for a sweet holiday romance, grab this book! You do not need to have read Major Misconduct to enjoy Off Limits! Book Details: POV: Dual Tears: No Trope: Friends sister Triggers: No Cliffhanger: No I really enjoyed this novella. The characters were great and I loved the story line. It was a fairly quick read between the first and second books in the series, and made me even more excited about this series. I think fans of the sports genre especially hockey would enjoy this series. Happy Reading...enjoy! Jenna McFadden brings her new boyfriend home for the holidays. Chicago Aces NHL player, Andrew Ross, goes home for the holidays to the family that took him in as a kid. He is jealous of Jenna’s new boyfriend despite that fact that she is off limits. Kelly Jamieson Lights the Lamp with Off Limits: a fantastic addition to the Aces Hockey Series! My heart went out to Andrew. He had a tough upbringing and was fortunate to be taken in by the McFadden’s. It is no wonder he was worried about pursuing a relationship with Jenna. He is a great guy who is easy to root for. Jenna is a fun heroine. She has liked her brother’s best friend, Andrew, ever since they were kids. She is sweet and driven. She has a great family. I love that the story was told from both Andrews’ and Jenna’s viewpoints. It gives the reader a good understanding of both character's perspectives. Not to mention, the mental side comments are priceless, especially Andrew’s opinion of Jenna’s boyfriend. I enjoyed the plot. It was credible and heartfelt. The story is well-written, hard to put down, and has a great ending. Off Limits is a must-read for anyone who enjoys sports romances. Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. A very nice novella, featuring Aces hockey star Andrew Ross. Jenna McFadden is looking forward to Christmas this year very much, she hopes to see Andrew again, though she is bringing a boyfriend home for the first time, Andrew has been living with the family ever since the young teenager lost his parents, the only rules being from his second family is that their young daughter Jenna is definitely 'Off Limits' to him. And he was good as they grew and matured, even though there is a strong attraction between. Will Andrew risk losing his second family, it's the season of good will and cheer will they be able to resist their feelings? I liked this story. Andrew was very honourable, I liked him a lot, and Jenna was great fun. Looking forward to more Ace Hockey stories. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

From the bestselling author of the Heller Brothers Hockey series, this charming holiday novella features one of the hunky hockey stars of the Chicago Aces. The Christmas season always puts a smile on Jenna McFadden's face. Even though she's bringing a boyfriend home for the first time, inside she's dying to see Andrew. Years ago, when the McFaddens took the troubled teen into their home, Jenna had to keep her blazing-hot crush a secret. And now that he's playing pro hockey for the NHL's Chicago Aces, nothing's changed. With his wide shoulders and taut muscles, Andrew's the most tempting package in the house . . . one that Jenna's dying to unwrap. Andrew Ross just can't make a play for Jenna. Her dad and brothers wouldn't approve, and he could never betray the trust of the wonderful people who treated him like family when he lost his own. That's what makes the holidays so hard. Whether Jenna's skating with Andrew on a frozen pond or sitting on his lap while he plays Santa, she's pushing all their boundaries--and there's only so much a man can take. Andrew knows that she's off-limits. But something deep down tells him that Jenna's heart is the one prize he simply has to win.
