I loved Tallulah. Ms. Fox does an excellent job of evolving her character from a sort of wallflower into a woman who goes after what she wants. Tallulah grew up in a small town with overprotective parents, and now she lives in the city, enjoying her job as a teacher in a daycare. All that is missing from her life is a man to love. Although she is happy to be traveling home to attend her brother's wedding, she is dreading the constant nagging from her parents about getting engaged to her ex-boyfriend and settling down not to far from them. Luckily, she meets her future sister-in-law's brother, Garrett Andersen, and they form a pact.
Security specialist Garrett Andersen is an intriguing character, besides being hot and good-looking. He believes he did not do his job well while in the military, even though he was honorably discharged and received a commendation. Garrett carries a lot of emotional baggage, which he does a good job of hiding from those that he loves and cares about. He is up for a promotion, but needs to prove to his managers that he can handle the stress.
Tallulah and Garrett very quickly become friends and agree to a fake engagement for the next month or so. As a result, Tallulah's parents won't nag and Garrett's promotion is practically in the bag. Another plus, their chemistry is scorching, which makes pretending to be in love extremely easy. Ms. Fox's ability to create loving sex scenes left me all hot and bothered. A cold towel is a definite must while reading this book.
What a great read! I found the story to be so good, I did not want it to end. This is an emotional, erotic romance that should not be missed.
