A good story for boys. It was good to see the growth in Ryan. I think it is good for kids to see how he struggled, as we all do, between satisfying himself and thinking of others and the bigger picture. I felt for his mom, trying to protect him but having to let him make his own decisions. Short chapters with cliff hanger endings kept me captivated and quickly turning pages. I would look for more by this author. I'd like to compare to Mike Lupica.

Two stars just because I'm not a huge fan of the genre. Should not be held against the book. ( )
