He is willing to do just about anything, but the farmer keeps turning him away. Most dogs (or people) would give up after a while, but not this dog. Ultimately, his creativity and perseverance end up helping the farmer out in a huge way. Because of this, the farmer realizes how much he does need the dog. This story draws you in as you read through wanting to know what was going to happen next. Job Wanted, written by Teresa Bateman and illustrated by Chris Sheban, would be a fun book for grades K-3. A dog seeks a job at a farm but is told by the farmer that dogs aren't needed, so he responds by showing just how indispensable he can be. This is a very cute book that shows how hard work and ingenuity can be valuable. The clever story uses repeating phrases, which young children really enjoy. The gently shaded illustrations aren't my favorite style, but they work well with this tale. I thoroughly enjoyed throwing myself into reading this book aloud and employing a number of different voices and tones. My 6-year-old niece listened attentively, but this wasn't a book she asked to hear over and over again like she usually does with new books, so something apparently didn't resonate with her. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Arriving at a farm with sore paws and an empty stomach, a dog tries to convince the farmer that he could be just as valuable as a cow, a horse, or a chicken. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
