Loved both of these stories and definitely recommend this book to everyone!

First was Texas Wedding by Kathleen O'Brien which was a fabulous second chance/pretend marriage story. Susannah Everly must marry to fulfill her grandfather's will and keep the farm. She ends up marrying high school flame Trent Maxwell. They have a troubled past and putting that past aside proves difficult. A great story!

Second was A Marriage Between Friends by Melinda Curtis which was another incredible second chance/pretend marriage story. Jill and Vince married years ago when Jill found herself alone and pregnant, but on their wedding night she walked out and never looked back. When Vince decides that the small town Jill settled in is the perfect location for his casino expansion they are reunited but are on opposites sides of the issue. This is a great story that has them dealing with the past as well as the future. It's a good one. ( )

Rescued by a Wedding is a two novel book that contains Texas Wedding by Kathleen O’Brien and A Marriage Between Friends by Melinda Curtis.
Each story portrays marriage of convenience from different perspectives. A tangle of emotions ramp up the tension in each book and engage the readers to experience the angst of the women as they struggle through decisions about the marriage.
Melinda Curtis does an outstanding job of depicting the challenges of balancing the pressures of a woman’s ordinary life. Her characters pop out with a realness that engages the reader to want to know what happens next. I really loved this book. ( )
