Lupinville is back, and Noah, the newly made werewolf and alpha, and his mate Liam are still trying to deal with the shocks and events from book one. The pack may seem secure, but threats from other alphas and potential traitors from inside are plentiful. Luckily, Noah's former buddy from the SEALs comes for a visit and, other than shaking tings up a bit, is a big help in dealing with the mess.

Goldie is plagued by guilt and doubts about his abilities. He also traveled to Lupinville with the vague idea he may be able to get together with Noah, his best buddy and the man he has had sort of a crush o for a few years. But finding Noah firmly mated to Liam and meeting Aiden makes Goldie reconsider before he knows it. His attraction to Aiden is a little weird because it is so sudden and strong, but the revelations that follow are even weirder. Interestingly, Goldie takes all of it pretty much in stride.

Aiden has been terrorized since he was a child, and even though he was made a pack beta by the abusive former alphas never felt safe. He also feels an enormous amount of guilt about the things he was forced to do, but Goldie helps him put that in perspective and deal with it. Aiden has no clue why he feels so attracted to the guy, but his wolf knows exactly what he wants. In fact, the wolf takes over when they get physical, and that bite has multiple unknown consequences...

If you like werewolf stories where an unsuspecting human is drawn into a pack in turmoil and ends up helping to sort it out, if you enjoy reading about two men who need to figure out how to relate to each other in light of the human suddenly becoming a werewolf, and if you're looking for a read that is as hot as it is entertaining, then you will probably like this novella.
