Molly is so wrapped up in her own issues that she can’t really see the pain that others are feeling around them too. And since the breakup with her boyfriend, she hasn’t wanted to see anyone else either. But that’s not the most painful issue bothering her.
In Snow Valley Pastor John keeps asking her to do a favor and the favor keeps ending up to help out with the Snow Valley Christmas Carnival – somehow always paired up with her ex-boyfriend Kevin Snow. With work sending her more and more texts requesting her advice, she vacillates between choosing to run away from her heartbreak or letting Christmas work out a miracle of its own.
The Christmas Eve Kiss was another lovely clean romance novel in the Snow Valley Christmas Romance Series). Like many of us who face heartache, Molly can’t see past her own pain, and needs to learn, as we do, that we have to learn to look beyond our own pain and reach out to others if we want to heal. Molly also learns to deal with her deeper sources of heartache.
I liked the character development throughout the story. I thought that Molly’s pull between home and work was quite true to life. I think in a lot of cases work might have won.
The pacing of the story was steady and smooth, neither fast nor slow-paced, but paced appropriately for a story of this type. I thought that this was a good book for a light relaxing read. I gave The Christmas Eve Kiss 5 stars out of 5.
