Por el nombre y la portada, cogí el libro porque pensaba que era del genero paranormal. No lo era. Pero me hizo dar cuenta que si algún día mi cuerpo de alguna forma llegaría a reproducirse, esta es la clase de abuela excéntrica que sería.

Uno de los personajes que más me gustó/intrigó fue la Abuelo VanDemere, en el libro Avery la describe como una persona serie y un poco fría, pero cuando está sola en su casa está obsesionada con los reality shows. Se me hizo muy chistoso, además como dicen: Uno no conoce todo de las personas.

A pesar de que es una historia que me gustó bastante, es uno de esas veces qué no sé exactamente que decir sobre el libro. Se me hizo interesante por la cantidad de escenarios que podemos leer, la parte romántica no está de desmayo pero tampoco está mal. Riley es lindo :D Muy lindo.

Fans of The Amazing Race will enjoy this one I think. A little romance is tossed in the mix but it's not overwhelming. ( )

"Inherit Midnight" was a fun read once I got my head around the ancestral history and the relationships between all the heirs vying for the Van Demere fortune.

I liked Avery. She was the only competitor who showed some emotion and thought beyond the ridiculous amount of money the winner was going to receive. However, I thought she relied too heavily on Reily to help her. I would have preferred her to be more independent. Warren, Avery's brother, and his wife, did win me over in the end but the other family members were just a pack of greedy, selfish individuals who were determined to win regardless of the cost.

Despite defying belief and with a fairly cheesy romance, "Inherit Midnight" was entertaining, action-packed and exciting once the race actually started. ( )
