It wasn't for me, but I'm not into body-mod super soldier lovers, so. ( )

This one was a lot. On it's own, if this was only the story of Jory and Piper, then it wouldn't have been as good. I didn't love them at first. Jory was hard to get a handle on and Piper was kind of annoying. But to the overall story, this book was an amazing ending. It really takes you on a wild ride full of fun, excitement, danger, and romance. The series as a whole had kind of a rocky start for me, but the perfect ending. ( )

Finished up this series although I wonder if there might be a spin off series since a few of the bad guys lived and it looked like there might be more brothers to find and those stories to write. Okay so this one was pretty nice. On its own I might have just given it 3 stars but as the wrap up of the series I raised it a star. Things ended nicely. There was a pretty decent epilogue. As to the hero and heroine of this book, they weren't my favorites. I actual liked Shane and Josie best from the first in the series. Jory was okay. He had that protective thing going. I didn't really enjoy the heroine. It was the choice of the author to make her the villain's daughter that I didn't really enjoy.

All in all I had fun reading this series. It kept me interested and I read straight through. ( )

While I had issue with a couple of the other brothers stories and some of the events in them... oh goodness.... how can one not love Jory, the youngest of the Dean brothers, the one whom the others feared dead.

He's always been the scrawny one, the one whom Matt protected the most. When after two years in a coma Jory discovers his kill chip has been damaged and there may be no hope for deactivating and removing it he vows to find a way to save his brothers. Enter Pipe, computer hacker extraordinaire and the commander's daughter. Lies and more lies, that's all Piper finds as she works to save the traitor so he can trial. As the truth comes slowly to light her whole world shatters and she doesn't know whom to trust or what to do.

Jory is the cutest mix of kick ass soldier and geeky nerd. He can McGyver an access pad or kill with his bare hands. He has a big heart and worries about finding codes to save his brothers while knowing he probably won't make it past the deadline. Now he has found something (someone) else to live for...Piper... oh yes, a three other younger brothers.

I didn't think I would have any Kleenex moments but there towards the end when they get ready for the final push to see if they can indeed save Jory...all the emotions and good-byes got to me. But they fit, if there hadn't been of any of that then this whole series would have been a waste. We see the men can love deeply for they feel it for one another and when they find their mates they show it with intensity and possessiveness....so at the end of it all they did what they always did...stayed together, Never Alone.

Now I know Dr. Madison gave them news that there were other brothers created around the same time they were and so begins another round of finding out the truth. The commander is dead so she has hooked up with PROTECT (the group dedicated to destroying the commander and his spawns of evil) to avenge his death there are hints of more stories to come...I'm thinking this is the perfect ending point. You know each brother is happy and has found love. Chance, Kyle, and Wade now have a family to help them learn to be "normal" kids. Greg has been buried on the family's land so he can be with them. Yup, this is just where we need to leave the family to go off and live the best life they can. ( )

I had a great time with this book! I have really enjoyed working my way through this series and have been really eager to read Jory's story and to find out how everything would work out for the Dean brothers. I would recommend reading this series in order if at all possible since some story arcs do carry over from book to book. I thought that this was a wonderful conclusion to the series.

Jory hasn't seen his brothers in years. They have actually believed that he was dead and he did have a close call. Since that close call, he has been kept at the facility under lock and key. Piper has just recently met her father, the commander, and has taken a job with the organization that uses her skills. She is tasked with trying to get control of the chips embedded in each of the Dean brother's heads. These chips are set to kill the brothers in a very short time.

I liked Jory and Piper. They had fantastic chemistry together and had quite a bit in common. They seemed to understand each other right away and I liked that Piper took a chance and trusted Jory. In addition to focusing on the romance between Jory and Piper, this book also had a big focus on all four brothers and their mission to deactivate the chips and gain control of their lives. I really enjoyed seeing the brothers and their significant others working together to get the chance at a family that they have always wanted.

Karen White did a fantastic job with the narration. I loved all of the voices that she used and never had any difficulty distinguishing which character was speaking. I thought that she added a lot of excitement and emotion into the story. I wanted to listen to this book for hours at a time and feel like the narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this story to others. I really fell for the Dean brothers over the course of this series. Each installment featured a wonderful romance and I loved how strong the bond was between the brothers. I thought that this book wrapped the series up very nicely and I am looking forward to reading more of Rebecca Zanetti's work very soon. ( )
