Vicky, a young Nigerian girl who is not feeling well, goes with her mother to the doctor. Soon Vicky is better again, and playing with her friends. A simple reassuring story offering a glimpse into a universal childhood experience in a very specific place. Appealingly illustrated with photographs. (

A little girl is not feeling well and so she goes to the doctor. It was a short book. Nice predictable text. Nothing OUTSTANDING about it though. Don't think this is something I would look for to put in my class library.

I really liked the personal pictures that were in the book. Each snapshot told the reader a story in and of itself.
Though the content was kind of dry and matter of fact.
It is a good book for a young child that may be scared to go to the doctor. (
