With these three books I fulfill my reading of everything what T.A. Webb has published individually until today and now he's is a part of my auto-buy authors's list.
I should say that the storyline is not very original. But in my opinion that's not important when a story is so well narrated like this.
T.A. Webb's writing style is simply magnificent. With simple words find the way to expressions of incredible intrinsic beauty and great emotivity. The account is coherent, clear and flowed; said fluidity is remarkable in the alternation of the MCs's POV, very smooth but indubitable at the same time.
The plot develops to a perfect rhythm, and I give myself a pat on the back to have been careful to have had the three books in my tablet before beginning to read, because the cliffhanger at the end of the first and second instalments could create anxiety attacks.
In order to finalize the counting of the merits of this series I want to mention the portrait of the characters, accomplished wonderfully. I like very much how the author goes on dosing the information that offers about the cast, without leaving you in the dark with important factors for every moment neither overloading you with information too soon. And what remains in reserve about secondary characters it doesn't cause more than to arouse my eagerness for reading their own stories..
The only thing that squeaked to me and which is what withdraws half a star of my rating is Jeremiah. I don't refer to the character as such, yet to than his appearing, critical to lead to the resolution of the second book, it is very sudden, not sufficiently explained and his connection with Marcus through Zachary is a little too coincidental.
But that does not make too much shadow. T.A. Webb is as good, that I feel obliged and happy for have discovered him.
