The stories we tell are not limited to monsters and harsh otherworlds. Yet the fiction books in the Borealis imprint certainly belong to a world other than our own. This line encompasses our science fiction, fantasy and horror novels and anthologies.
Top notch anthology that avoids most of the cliches and tropes. This was from the early ‘90s. Where did all these writers go? I know about half of them. ( )
This collection of short stories took me a couple of months to read through because I found almost everyone of them to be disturbing for one reason or another. Even now when I think about the photographer taking pictures of deformed children I get a little nausia. These stories are definatly different and memorable. This is the 3rd out of a series of 4 or 5 I believe but I have never bought any others because I don't think I could read it. Maybe someday. ( )
