This is the second book in the series that I have read and I'm very pleased with both. This book depicts Jesus and how He came to be and follows along as He grows in to manhood. It has biblical references throughout the book along with some wonderful photographs and drawings. There are color maps and other useful charts that are excellent tools to help the child understand what is being read. I love these books because of the fact that they are full of information but it's presented in a manner that is easy to grasp but also interesting and pertinent to the Bible in general. These books are about 3rd to 5th grade reading level although I'm encouraging my 2nd grade grandson to read this and he has with help read several pages at a time. I think that this series would make a wonderful addition to any child's library. Zondervan has always has wonderful books for kids. ( )
