I enjoyed this simple suspense novel, which avoided any real graphic violence, but did contain some difficult issues like child abduction and slavery, beatings, fights and shootings. All leading to a very predictable ending. A risiing star in the CIA, Erin Baker is driven by tragedy from her past. When her 8 yrs old sister was kidnapped at the park while she was supposed to be watching her. She was 12 and has blamed herself all these years. In pursuit of one missing boy, she and Alex Donovan, another FBI agent find two missing boys. Her sister's memory returned at the institution when the kidnapper appeared in her room. At the end, she was released and the kidnapper was killed. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Erin Baker is driven by a tragedy from her past. When she was a child, her eight-year-old sister, Claire, was kidnapped. Though Claire was miraculously found, she was changed forever. Now a rising star in the CIA, Erin's life takes an unexpected turn when she spots an ice cream vendor performing magic tricks for kids. She has seen this man before - the day her sister disappeared. Erin is certain there is a link between her sister's case and the more recent disappearance of a young boy. She meets Alec Donovan, an FBI agent on the hunt to find the missing child, whose record for locating missing children is exceptional. Suddenly Alec and Erin find themselves on a desperate pursuit- from the streets of America's most peaceful neighbourhoods to a horrifying underworld where children are stolen and trafficked.
