Fiction. Romance. Suspense. Thriller. HTML:

Ex-Navy SEAL Stone Pressfield had a bad feeling about the proposed church missions trip to Manila, Philippines. The college-age church group plans to go Manila and help victims of the sex-trafficking industry. Stone's lingering nightmare memories about the sex-trafficking industry has him warning church leaders that the trip is a bad idea. He knows all too well that it could end in violence, and those involved aren't to be trifled with.

When beautiful Wren Morgan goes missing, he has a sick feeling that he knows exactly who took her, and for what purpose. The problem is, Wren isn't just any other student. She's someone he was close to, someone he cares about. Now she's in the hands of cruel, evil men, and Stone is the only one who can rescue her before the unthinkable happens.

Here was my problem with this book: it started out promising but failed to meet my expectations. The description of Manila was great but the whole chase and find game Stone and Wren were playing got old and quick.
Oh and let's have a quicky while we're running for our lives, and confuse the time frame, and cause me to continuously go back and reread because I was so confused....bleh not horrendous but not amazing. ( )

The Missionary is very high energy and exciting from the first word. It’s very moment-to-moment. The male lead Stone is very Rambo/MacGyver. The scenes played in my head like a Jason Bourne film.

I really have to bring attention to one important part of this book. The sex scenes between the male and female leads were so refreshing! They were very believable, no over the top craziness, and still maintained the hot as hell aspect. None of those cliché words and phrases that make you cringe were used! Amazing right? Fist bump to Mr. Jack Wilder! More authors should read this to learn how to write a proper sex scene.

The author really knows their shit. Everything written was completely realistic. I cannot imagine the amount of research that went into this book. Everything within the book is well-versed and very knowledgable including the ins and outs of being a Navy Seal, the US government, the sex slave trade industry, how people live and the land makeup of foreign countries, the life of a sex slave, and the aftermath including feelings of the sex slaves.

To sum up my reading experience of this book-I could not put it down! It was blunt, truthful, entertaining, and emotional. I highly recommend. Jack Wilder really does a superb job of providing an engrossing storyline that highlights true problems in the world today.

**A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to charities that fight sex trafficking**

Interesting premise and Manila, but garbage. ( )

Interesting concept with a young girl on a short term trip to Manila being kidnapped by pimps for the sex trade. Just wish they had had a plot to it other than running around and killing people and of course these 2 "christians" have to have unlimited sex and you have to read all about it. ( )
