This story remains a firm favourite of the few Susan Lewis books that I have read.. Probably, because it deals with family issues and two people struggling to keep their marriage together amid accusations of deceit and lies.. Also, Julia has to uncover the truth of her beloved father of whom she had lost contact with since she was a child. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

This is one on its own. There are so many twists and turns in the story, it was hard not to enjoy despite my not being a fan of chicklit.
As stories go, this one is terrible, packed full of clichés and 'Harlequin theatricals' (my favourite part was an illicit affair of a newly separated woman with a toyboy Italian horse rider who recites poetry whilst they make love), however far from predictable, memorable and I have to give credit to the author, both for making me laugh the most I have ever reading a book, and for having such a weird and wonderful imagination!
