My toddler does too, requesting it a lot. ( ) This book was a very funny and interesting twist to the classic children's song, "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly." The book is about an old lady who wanted to catch a star. In order to catch the star she had to do a lot of things such as buying shoes, to get skates, skates to get a bike, and the list goes on until she exchanges her car for a plane. Once the bold old lady gets a plane she is able to fly into outer space and get a star. After getting the star she must do all of those tasks again until she is back with just her shoes and the star. At the end of the story it shows the old lady putting the star in a jar and giving it to a little boy. This book is full of rhymes and repetition and I would suspect it is very entertaining for children to read and wonder what the old lady is going to do next to complete her goal of catching a star. I thought it was a creative take on the old classic, "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly." aucune critique | ajouter une critique
In this variation on the traditional cumulative rhyme, a feisty woman tries roller skates, a bicycle, and even a rocket to reach a star. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
