This rabbit sees his shadow for the first time and is terrified. He spends a long time trying to run away from it until he gets himself in trouble with a wolf and then his shadow comes to his rescue in the end to scare off the wolf. This book would be good for a first grade or kindergarten classroom and can be used to represent friendship.

This is a fantasy story of a little white rabbit who discovered a scary, big black rabbit always following him. He tried to get away from the black rabbit (really his shadow,) and finally ran into a dark wood. The black rabbit was gone, but now there was a wolf! And, the scary black rabbit came to his rescue! At last, they became good friends and went home hand in hand.

Rabbit has a large black rabbit chasing him, and no matter where he runs, the shadowy rabbit follows. Finally, in the deep, dark wood, Rabbit loses his nemesis, only to encounter a real foe.

This book I chose for visualizing. As you read the book you soon realize that this white bunny is startled by another black bunny next to him. This is his journey to realize what a shadow truly is. For ages (3-6) Preschool to 1st grade.
