Maybe I am having trouble with these short stories and find it extremely hard to meet everything that I am looking for in a story. I love a good story but, this book about Henry who is on a search to find himself really bothered me because I had trouble figuring out who he was even when I was reading the story. Just a little frustrating!

This little story got me thinking... I was surprised when I came to the end, because it is different than anything I have read the past years, written by contemporary authors.

For me, A Wind Doth Blow shows the life and mind of an introvert who is also an artist and how he falls in love with a neighbour, who was also an artist. The man narrating the story is a painter and the woman he secretly desires is an oboist. The mood and the plot are poetic, dreamy, bittersweet.

It reads like an autumnal afternoon shower, it is beautiful and loaded with melancholia. This short story is like a little piece of art itself.

I am happy that I came across and won it at a LibraryThing giveaway, otherwise I may have missed the opportunity to read it. ( )

I found this to be a nice little story. I liked the style of writing, although i have to admit that because english is not my primary language, some of the words used were a bit too difficult for me. ( )

I read this short book in practically 20 min, trying not to miss a single word. I think it was too short, because by the time I was getting to know the characters, the book ended too fast. I was hoping for some other ending in fact, like Henry going out with Dottie since it didn't work out with Elise. Or him and Elise together.

So I am rather disappointed and felt like the author had hurried up to give an ending to the story. All in all it was a very well executed plot, but as I sad so many times, so short.
