Note to self: Do not fall for books just because Paris is in the title. This book has nothing to do with Paris and everything to do with awful writing and a ludicrous plot. Total waste of time. ( )

I loved the setting, the plot is ok but predictable, and the dialogue reminded me of watching a sitcom. Not my favourite prose style, but it is a breezy read with likeable characters. ( )

One sister in law goes through the purse and finds out some info from the cell phone and she thinks the woman is up to no good and may not be who she says she is...
David takes her under his wing and shows her around the estate. Other members also find other flaws, but til they combine their clues...
Love descriptions of places they go and see, very descriptive.
Like following the mother and grandmother and the sons love lifes and how they've changed over the months.
Like all the twists and turns and the story not coming out like a happily ever after.

This was a pretty good read. A modern day story about a grand old house and a family that discovers a huge secret after the death of their father. Lord Frampton leaves behind a precious set of Sapphires to a girl named Phaedra, who claims to be his illegitimate daughter.
The book is filled with beautiful descriptions of the house and scenery. Plus the characters are all very interesting. The story is basically about the power of love to heal broken families and hearts.
The ending was surprising, as well. At times, I rolled my eyes at how the family took to Phaedra so quickly and there she is baking cakes and cookies in the house for them...but it was an entertaining book. ( )
