The book truly portrays the importance of words and how important they are to communicate. There are many different poems each breaking down and describing parts of a sentence into grammar. I truly enjoyed the book and reading the poems each of them passionate about the importance of grammar and most importantly words. Words can paint a picture and are the colors to the canvas we call life. The colors in the book are just as vibrant as the words that are used to describe them. I can see myself using this book in my classroom one day. ( ) I liked reading this book. The main idea is about teaching children how to write, read, and listen. One of the reasons I liked this book was because of the poems inside of it. They all promoted things that children need to learn about and be excited to do. Some of the poems include "How to Learn to Say a Long, Hard Word", "Listen" and "Metaphor". These are all fun poems for children to read, while still helping them become better readers and writers. The other reason I liked this book was because of the pictures. They are very bright and colorful and keep the child's attention. On the page with a poem called "Share the Adventure", there is a big illustration filling up both pages with people of different cultural backgrounds, which is very relevant to the poem. This helps the children visualize the text and can help them understand the poem better. The poems in this book are very practical for use in the classroom at any level. "Metaphor" and "Haiku" demonstrate particular styles and elements, while some poems just speak about the power of words and books. The illustrations add to the mood of each piece. I would recommend this book for classroom libraries to demonstrate poetry writing and specific literary elements. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
