I do not believe a lot of children (who are not associated with Jewish culture) know a lot about the Jewish culture, and I believe this book does a great job of touching on some of the customs of Jewish life. The author included a grandfather, a grandson, and a dog, all of which do a great job of allowing the reader to relate to the story. Adding the dog to the story also gives a playful and fun touch to the topic. Along with the characters, the author's language was also effective at telling the story and keeping the reader engaged. She uses repetitive language and dialogue between the grandfather and grandson like when the grandfather constantly refuses to let the dog come to Shabbat. The playful language kept me engaged throughout a topic that I did not have a lot of knowledge about. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
