Dr. Angus Maitlin's marriage had been over for some time and his wife finally makes it final when she walks out on him and their kids weeks before Christmas. Divorced single-mom and midwife/RN Imogen is visiting London for a few weeks so her son can visit with his father who is working in London over the Christmas holiday. She meets Angus during an emergency in the hospital they both are working at. Angus persuades Imogen to help him out with his kids during her stay in London and he will provide her with room and board. As the two become closer, they wonder if it is wise since Imogen will soon be returning to her home in Australia.

This romance was just okay for me since I didn't always like the heroine. She came off as too self-centered at times. I thought the medical parts of the story were well done and didn't overwhelm the story. It was a quick and easy read. I didn't really need the epilogue. I'm not a fan of the baby epilogue, and with this epilogue being longer and including the childbirth, it was really more than I needed. Just an okay read for the holidays. ( )
