The Australian heroine fell for a ruggedly handsome English guy and followed him all the way to London. It turns out he is married with children. To top it all off she gets pregnant and decides against his will to keep the baby. So she has to struggle on her own in the big hostile city, only with the help of her eccentric friend. I didn't like the book, but hey, I was trapped in a train and had finished my other book, so I finished this one anyway. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Madeline Wolfe is a mischievous, mutinous, high-rise (the shortest she'd ever been was 'tall for her age') Aussie redhead, who can open beer bottles with her teeth and is on first name terms with every bartender in Bangkok. She's a woman in control of her life, and no man is ever going to tell herwhat to do. So how come she's ended up twelve thousand miles from home, in rainy London, with no friends, her visa about to expire, with no place to live - oh, yes, and pregnant? She fell in love with Alexander Drake, that's how. But she soon realises that Alex goes through the tunnel of love holding his own hand. He also has more secrets than MI5. Alex may not be the man she thought he was, but can she persuade him to be the man she needs him to be - preferably before the baby arrives? Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Maddy leaves her home and life in Australia to follow wildlife tv reporter Alex Drake to England. Once there however he shows his true colours leaving Maddy homeless and pregnant.
I have to say that whilst reading this everytime Alex appeared I pictured him as played by Steve Backshaw, real life wildlife expert but not I hasten to add, real life pratt. As far as I am aware Alex and Steve have nothing in common other than their careers. ( )
