As a person that does not enjoy travel or new experiences, to the extent that I take the same vacation every year, I continue to be in awe of Vicky and Joe's intrepid spirit and continuing adventures living in a mountain village in Spain. It is like reading letters from old friends now, and I look forward to the next installment as they head out once again for foreign lands. Will be cooking some Spanish meals soon as well - adore the flavors of Spain! (

The other review here has it right, you dont have to know the author personally, she makes you feel like you are best friends talking about your day. WIth a cast of quirky and interesting supporting characters, Vicky and her husband take us through a typical (or not!) day in their Andalucian paradise. I laughed through my tears on more than a few occasions and I am looking forward to the next adventure! (

Victoria Tweads "Two Old Fools - Ole!" is a biography. Even though I do not know her she makes me feel as if we are friends and she is writing to let me know what is going on in her life. She is so funny with an odd twist here and there just to keep it interesting. We are both fond animals but never before have I thought about the emotions of a chicken or the love life of a mule. There is some human romance thrown in, really. Enjoyed the whole thing and waiting for her next book. (
