![]() Aucun Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. ![]() ![]() "Play Nice" is a quick and interesting read. Usually, 'suspense' stories are full of technical details. This one is not; perhaps the reason it does read quickly. I must say, I didn't miss having as many details; the lack certainly can assist the reader's transition from disliking the heroine to feeling sympathetic, in relatively short time. Also, outside of a portion of the story mid-way through, the plot and H/H were largely believable in their actions/thoughts. I plan on reading the next installment of this new series, only having wished that I didn't know it was the first of a series when I did read it. Without that foreknowledge*, the last chapters of this book would have been wonderfully surprising, rather than happily satisfactory. FYI: 1) *The reason I try hard not to include any story details in my reviews; and 2) This is the first book I've read written by Ms. Halliday. I haven't decided whether I will read her previous books, as this story seems to have been a change in genre for her(?). Maybe, that decision will be easier after I've read the next installment. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Anya Danielovich was an assassin in her former life. But that was a long time ago. Today she's just Anna Smith--a single, thirtysomething woman living in San Francisco with a simple desire to lead a better life. But she's still haunted by her past--the people she killed, the mentor she betrayed, the woman she was. She's taken care to cover her tracks, but she's beginning to feel like she's being watched. Nick Dade is a hired gunman--the best of the best. He's read Anya's file and, after weeks of surveillance, he's ready to pull the trigger, until someone else beats him to the punch. With his agenda shattered, Nick suddenly finds himself thrown together with the woman he's been sent to eliminate. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
