While this was a good book with a great story and plot I just didn't feel as drawn in as I have in other similar stories. I can't even put my finger on why. I found myself speed reading through the book with a very rarely do because I felt like I got bogged down in the details. Also, for me the story was more a suspense story than and romance and maybe therein lies my problems with it. It wasn't a bad story but I doubt I'll go looking for more in this series. Requested from NetGalley Overall Rating 3.75 Character Rating: 3.75 Story Rating 3.75 Review Posted on : http://www.geekybloggersbookblog.com/201... NOTE: I work with a bunch a guys who have man laws, guy rules, and dude guidelines so this book had me in stitches most of the way through. There is one very powerful emotional punch the story throws at you too! A very worthy read! What I Loved: This book is just an action packed, heart warming, amazingly fun time that is perfect for a summer read. I was laughing so hard every time a man law was "invoked" because you just knew it was going to fall. The fact that Vic was so determined, then not sure, then frustrated, then like "oh what the heck", and then melted was the perfect arch for a character like him. Gina and her children, specifically Lily, were a great reflection of the struggles that single moms go through while trying to move forward in their lives. What I Liked: The characters in Man Law where are all very likeable though I kept thinking I missed the first book in the series (there wasn't one but I think Micheal's story-Gina's brother-would have made an excellent book). There was an emotional curve ball thrown that really made me grab for the hankies but it added to the story in a way that was genuine. I really like all the guys and can't wait to learn more about them. Complaints: None Why I gave it a 3.75: This was a very good read that will make you laugh and cry. I look forward to the rest of the series! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
