Third book in the Fatal series. As always, the story moved along relatively quickly and I DID NOT see the ending coming at all. Every time I am surprised about the twist at the end when we find out the whodunit. Sam and Nick aren't perfect, and there's always some issue they're trying to work through while all this other stuff is going on. Even though it always just ends up with them telling each other their feelings and then BOOM, it's fixed. No drama like real life. My only "complaint" would maybe be that there are starting to be a few too many points of view. Between Sam, Nick, Cruz, Gonzo, Christina...it's sometimes a little too much to keep track of.

All in all, a great addition to the series. The novella Fatal Destiny was included with the edition of the book that I read, and I'm already halfway through that too. I can't seem to read these fast enough. If you like Tana French, Christina Dodd, Karin Slaughter, or Ruth Ware you should enjoy these books. Bonus if you enjoy political suspense (although I'm not a political person, these are set in DC and the characters do interact with politicians). ( )

One of my favorites of the series so far. Kept me up way past my bed time finishing it. Not gonna lie. Things got a little emotional at the end. I'm already seeing in the next book the impact on Sam. Truly heartbreaking. ( )

Book 3 in the Fatal series. These just keep getting better, if that is even possible.
Suspense, mystery, romance, camaraderie, humor. It's got it all. It's great how the side characters are developed further and get their own stories. Listening to this series always leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy. ( )
