This re-read was listened to as I vacationed with my family. We listened to it on the road. I think this book is the weakest of the three books of this series within the series. It wraps up as if it is finishing the series, but the next book clearly continues the trilogy. Of course, this is all enclosed in the long running series that still is not finished yet.

I found that there was a bit too much drama and cheesiness in this book, my complaint of historical reference characters in the past book continuing to be an issue. ( )

Harry, Meagan and a jewish orphan Jesse are all back in time into roman times. Meagan and Jesse got kidnapped by a creepy scorcerer named simon Magus. he believes that there is a scroll of knowledge that will tell him all the secrets of the universe. He tells harry that if he doesn't bring the scroll in ten days at a certain place, he will kill both jesse and Meagan. Harry along with his great friend Gid from the nephite times go to find the scroll and return it for their lives. This is a really good book. It's so intense! I loved it! It's a plot that is very fun to read about.
