27% of the book, more than a quarter (no pun, just math) is sex. Very little in terms of a plot, none of the world building, the only character consistent through the 27% is Faolan, a sex-crazed asshole, which is fine, cause he is a bloody pirate. Gar, the bounty hunter, is a prim damsel, whose body and brain keep betraying her him into having sex with the revolting pirate. Don’t know what Gar did to deserve his cold and ruthless reputation, because he comes off as anything but. Both bad ass MCs turn into spineless sappy love-sick doves at about 30%. Sooner even, for Gar.

The rest of the book is the two MCs having more sex and cooing over each other’s wounds/sicknesses. A couple of battle scenes are thrown in for the sake of justifying the space-opera tag and desperately trying to steer clear from the PWP one.

The whole mess with Jason, the head of the bounty hunters guild, is plain silly. Jason is TSTL, it's as simple as that, and it's a wonder he is still breathing in the beginning of the book.

My overall impression of this book is like watching a movie while doing other things. You get the plot, you observe the characters, you see them going through the motions, but you don’t connect.
