It is a song about planting flowers or vegetables and the things that will help them to grow. It would be great to read this during a science unit in which the students plant bean seeds and observe their growth throughout the week. This book is about seeds and how they grow. You plant a seed in the ground. Then rain will come and water the seeds. The sun will shine high above the seeds. Finally you watch the seeds grow into flowers, vegetables, and much more. I liked the writing style in this book. This story was in a song format. I really liked the song in this story. The classroom can sing along with the teacher as she goes through the book. The students could also grow their own plants in the classroom. This is an informational book about growing seeds. This book is in song form. It tells the reader what plants need in order to grow. I really like this book. it is really easy to remember things when you can put it to a tune. This book actually had an extension idea in the back of it that I would love to utilize in the classroom. It is a sort of science experiment where popcorn is planted in several containers. 3 are placed in a sunny windwo with one watered moderatly, very wet and none at all. One is placed in the refridgerator and another in the closet bot watered moderatly. Students keep track of each growth on a growth chart. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Repetitive, predictable story lines and illustrations that match the text provide maximum support to the emergent reader. Engaging stories promote reading comprehension, and easy and fun activities on the inside back covers extend learning. Great for Reading First, Fluency, Vocabulary, Text Comprehension, and ESL/ELL!
