This book was also a great selection for an informative text on basketball. I enjoyed this book because it was mainly about key skills and tips. Kids love learning about new moves in sports so I believe this will automatically catch their attention. This book did a good job with explaining how to perform a certain trick. The last book focused on the why's but this book focuses on the how's. For example, when explaining how to do a "fingertip control," the author gives a step by step description..."accurate dribbling is done with your fingertips, not your palms. Your palm shouldn't slap the ball when you dribble. Instead, cup your hand upside down. Keeping the ball on your fingertips will give you better control." This was a great tip for any beginner learning to play basketball and the author did a good job letting them know what they should and shouldn't do. Also, just as the first book, the photographs were of a real life people. They drew me in and had great action shots. There was movement in the pictures and I liked how I knew the people in the photographs were actually shots of them playing live on the court. It was a very great informative text.
