Midnight alley: Claire Danvers has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. But being under Amelie's protection doesn't offer much comfort when people start turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Claire's past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons at his secluded home in Midnight Alley. To what end, Claire will soon discover--and it will give a terrifying new meaning to night school. Feast of fools: In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It is only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the evil trap Mr. Bishop has set for Morganville.… (plus d'informations)

I already finished the first book the ending was horrible I was going to read till the end of the first book then go to sleep but it ended on a cliffhanger so I didn't go to sleep until around 3am. ( )

My reading was interrupted by "Iron Knight"'s appearance, and this one wasn't quite as gripping as the last one. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the next books. I'm worried about how they'll solve the Myrnin problem- I like Myrnin quite a bit. Things are also in an increasingly bigger mess as the story progresses, so I'm worried about how things will turn out, naturally. I also think it's weird to have Claire constantly praising Michael's appearance. ( )

It was a very good follow-up to the first two books in the series! Full of suspense and now I really want to read Volume 3 because there was a major cliffhanger at the end of the fourth book. This isn't five stars though because this time around I just wasn't as in love with a couple of the characters. Still great though, and I'd definitely recommend it! :) ( )

Midnight Alley - 4 stars
I liked this book better than the previous two. Claire got some depth of character in her interaction with Myrnin. The plot added a lot to the overall storyline of the series. I'm actually looking forward to reading the next book.

Feast of Fools - 4 stars
There are two things that Rachel Caine does well, she keeps her books short so you don't have time to get bored and she leaves one heck of a cliff hanger. The storyline is getting much better as the series goes on and takes it beyond the run-of-the-mill romance story disguised as a fantasy story. I'm excited for the next one. ( )

[Midnight Alley]
For the people who got me through my own personal Morganville years: Elizabeth Sandlin, Andy Sealy, Mona Fluitt, Bruce Tinsley, Luis Hernandez, Gary Wiley, Scott Chase, Marsha McNeill, Rachel Scarbrough, and many more who made the days bright. Also to the memory of sitting next to Stevie Ray Vaughn, hearing him make magic when few people were even listening.
For the people who are getting me through these Morganville years: Cat Conrad, Kelley Walters, Maria Stair, Katy Hendricks, Claire Wilkins and Baby Griff, Becky Rocha, Laurie Andrews and her lovely girls, P.N. Elrod, Jackie Leaf, Bill Leaf, Joanne Madge, Irene Ferris, Ter Matthies, the Alphas, ORAC, Douglas Joseph, Sharon Sams and her son Boardman, Ann Jackson and her son Trey, and literally too many LiveJournal and MySpace friends to even attempt to list. Every one of them a special, undeserved gift.
And to Charles Armitage and Kevin Cleary, for making Morganville an even more exciting place.

[Feast of Fools]
To the Time Turners, who keep me moving forward...
And to PN Elrod, who knows why.

[Midnight Alley] The instant the phone rang at the Glass House, Claire knew with a psychic flash that it had to be her mother.
[Feast of Fools] It was hard to imagine how Claire's day - even by Morganville standards - could get any worse...and then the vampires holding her hostage wanted breakfast.
