I already finished the first book the ending was horrible I was going to read till the end of the first book then go to sleep but it ended on a cliffhanger so I didn't go to sleep until around 3am. ( ) My reading was interrupted by "Iron Knight"'s appearance, and this one wasn't quite as gripping as the last one. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the next books. I'm worried about how they'll solve the Myrnin problem- I like Myrnin quite a bit. Things are also in an increasingly bigger mess as the story progresses, so I'm worried about how things will turn out, naturally. I also think it's weird to have Claire constantly praising Michael's appearance. It was a very good follow-up to the first two books in the series! Full of suspense and now I really want to read Volume 3 because there was a major cliffhanger at the end of the fourth book. This isn't five stars though because this time around I just wasn't as in love with a couple of the characters. Still great though, and I'd definitely recommend it! :) Midnight Alley - 4 stars I liked this book better than the previous two. Claire got some depth of character in her interaction with Myrnin. The plot added a lot to the overall storyline of the series. I'm actually looking forward to reading the next book. Feast of Fools - 4 stars There are two things that Rachel Caine does well, she keeps her books short so you don't have time to get bored and she leaves one heck of a cliff hanger. The storyline is getting much better as the series goes on and takes it beyond the run-of-the-mill romance story disguised as a fantasy story. I'm excited for the next one. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Midnight alley: Claire Danvers has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. But being under Amelie's protection doesn't offer much comfort when people start turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Claire's past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons at his secluded home in Midnight Alley. To what end, Claire will soon discover--and it will give a terrifying new meaning to night school.
Feast of fools: In the town of Morganville, vampires and humans live in relative peace. Student Claire Danvers has never been convinced, especially with the arrival of Mr. Bishop, an ancient, old-school vampire who cares nothing about harmony. What he wants from the town living and its dead is unthinkably sinister. It is only at a formal ball, attended by vampires and their human dates, that Claire realizes the evil trap Mr. Bishop has set for Morganville. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
