NCLA Review -In this practical book, readers learn the secrets to making smarter decisions. The book begins by giving examples of both real life and Biblical characters that made dumb moral, relational, financial and health decisions. The next section explains the ten emotions that drive dumb choices. Individual chapters address each of the following emotions: anger, fear, greed, impatience, stress, curiosity, lust, pride, insecurity and guilt. The final section of the book reveals the following seven secrets to a great decision: clear objectives, concrete information, contemplation, counsel, creativity, courage and a clean conscience. At the end of each chapter is a prayer relevant to the topic. The appendix gives scriptures for divine guidance and affirmations for good decisions. Especially helpful are the examples the authors give readers to reflect on. Rating: 4 —PD ( )
