It is impossible not smile while reading this adorable story. The message and illustrations are remarkable. Throughout the story, Birdy shows how smiling can impact the lives of others. For example, she says “Smiles make people HAPPY! I try to smile at everyone I see. And most of the time they smile back!” The text is written in different colors, fonts and sizes, which makes the book extremely enticing. Another great message that was portrayed throughout the book was to own your smile. Many kids compare themselves to others but Birdy explained how everyone’s smile is different. For example, “Lucy Lollipop’s smile is small and sweet. Chip Zimmerman’s smile is big and shiny.” In the back of the book there is a mirror so you can see your smile. It was the perfect ending touch to the book. This book is a must read and is very relatable to not only children but also readers of all ages. ( ) Birdy is an inspiration to all who read this story! The author tries to portray a message of loving the skin your in and accepting your self through Birdy's smile. I like this book because it is full of bold colors and great illustrations that grab the readers attention. I also like this book because it sends a positive message to a way that children will understand it. The author also uses different types of media in the illustrations. There are real photographs and illustrations. There is also a mirror in the back of the book so the reader can look at their own smile. It is a really cute story that is able to relate to children. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
