Disclaimer: This is part of an unbeliever's reviews of a disturbing but often highly entertaining series of tracts. Two stars is my highest rating, when one of these manages to be entertaining without being completely offensive. For example, Jack Chick did not think Catholics were Christians. They worshipped the wrong "Alexandrian" version of the bible! He believed the Pope was in league with Satan and that the Jesuits were Satan's tools. Read these for fun--but realize that there are sick people in the world who actually believe this stuff. And, if by some chance, there is a hell--that's where all those people are going to end up. They won't meet Jesus there, but they will meet Jack Chick.

Little Bobby was bad from birth. If only the rod of correction had been applied as Proverbs recommends! He grows up to be a reliable drug dealer. But his cousin befriends a narc, and Bad Bob ends up in jail having to put up with a young boy and a jailer trying to convert him. And apparently the jail's electrical system was pretty poor or someone was smoking, because a fire breaks out! Quite entertaining. ( )

This tract is about Bob. Bad Bob. Bob is bad. Bob was born bad. We see Bad Bob grow from a bad baby to bad adulthood over the course of four panels bad panels, including a jab at psychiatrists when asked by Bad Bob's mother if she should spank him. "Good heavens, no! It could ruin his personality." Bad Bob grows up to be a bad man, but gains popularity as a highly effective and multi-faceted drug dealer. Busted with his cousin while dealing, Bad Bob winds up in jail, where a local church-going teen and the religious sheriff lecture Bad Bob and Bad Cousin on their bad ways. "You jerks have spit in God's face..." Bad Bob isn't impressed.

That night, the prison catches on fire, and Bad Bob watches Bad Cousin burn alive in the cell next to him. "YAAAAAAAHHH!!!" Watching a blood relative immolate next to him seems to be all that is needed to convince Bad Bob that the perils of Hell are real, and the holy sheriff manages to convert him, much to the chagrin of the local junkie population. "I hear he even prays now." Such is the tale of Bad Bob. ( )
