I couldn't resist a story about kittens and I definitely couldn't resist a story about Christmas! Harry and Emily are very childlike and I think young readers will really identify and empathize with their emotions in the story. The pictures appear to be watercolored with clear illustrations and concise expressions on the kittens faces. The text is big and double spaced, with simple vocabulary for easy reading. The story itself is a delight for sharing with children over the holidays, aged Kindergarten to grade two. ( )
